We recently were engaged by Gamergains, to support the continued growth of their platform by using specific games to increase sign-ups, challenges participated in and converting these new users into Pro subscribers

They wanted us to put together a strategy focusing on Rainbow 6 or Overwatch on both Twitch TV and YouTube using mid-roll integrations, influencer-hosted and branded competitions with prize pools, and supporting social posts. (UGC).

The Campaign

 

PHASE 1 – Selecting the perfect creators to promote specific titles

We contacted and gathered creators on YouTube and Twitch who were focused on Overwatch and Rainbow 6 gameplay content or streams and introduced them to the GAMERGAINS platform. This campaign was then expanded to further titles as the GAMERGAINS platform expanded.

PHASE 2 – Mid-roll integrations

We started with simple, yet effective, mid-roll integrations on YouTube content targeted at players and viewers of the creator’s streams, highlighting messaging around sign-ups for the audience type.

PHASE 3 – Run creators-specific sign-ups and tournaments.

We worked with GAMERGAINS and the creators to run creator-specific sign-up pages and encourage their audience to join the platform using their links, ultimately to play in events hosted on their behalf with cash prizes and live streams involved. This impacted sign-ups on the platform quite significantly in a short space of time.
